International Shipping, Duties & Taxes

At Gloria Cycling, we ship our titanium frames, full builds and components to riders across the globe.

Because we ship internationally from our showroom, prices shown on our website exclude local Value Added Tax (VAT), Goods and Services Tax (GST), import duties, and customs administration fees for orders shipped outside our home origin.

How Shipping & Import Taxes Work

When your order travels across international borders, your local customs office assesses import taxes and duties once the package arrives in your destination country.

Breakdown by Destination

1. Domestic & UK Customers

  • VAT: Included at checkout where applicable.

  • Duties: No additional import duties or tariffs.

  • Delivery: Standard domestic courier rates apply.

2. European Union (EU) Customers

Following Brexit, orders sent to the EU are billed without domestic VAT. However, you will be responsible for local import charges upon arrival:

  • Local VAT: Charged at your home country's standard rate (typically 19%–25%).

  • Import Duty:

    • Framesets: ~4.7% customs duty.

    • Complete Bikes / Wheels: ~14%–15% customs duty.

  • Courier Disbursement Fee: DHL/FedEx charges a small administrative clearance fee (approx. €12–€20 / £10–£15).

3. United States (US)

  • De Minimis Threshold: Orders under $800 USD enter duty-free.

  • Orders Over $800 USD:

    • Subject to US Customs tariffs (~3.9% on complete bicycles, ~3.7% on titanium frames).

    • State Sales Tax may be collected depending on local customs and clearance procedures.

  • Payment: DHL or FedEx will contact you via email/SMS to clear duties online prior to final delivery.

4. Rest of World (Australia, Canada, Japan, East Asia, Middle East, etc.)

  • Import Tax / GST / VAT: Assessed at your country's standard statutory import rates.

  • Customs Duty: Depends on your local government's tariff schedule for bicycle parts (Commodity Code / HS Code: 8714.91 for frames, 8712.00 for complete bicycles).

Standard Commodity Codes (HS Codes)
