From Carlos: A Day with Wei at Foundation Bike Fit

A few days ago, we visited our good friend Wei at Foundation Bike Fit, based inside Bespoke in London, for a deep dive into bike fit and titanium frame sizing.
The idea was simple: get some advice on my own bike position, create some much-needed content, talk about bikes, especially titanium bikes, and of course, catch up with a friend.
The session started with an initial assessment and a few questions from Wei. Then we moved into the practical setup. I jumped on my titanium gravel bike, we did some saddle pressure mapping, and then moved over to his fit jig to experiment with a few position changes.
It was not exactly a surprise, but it confirmed what I had always suspected. My legs are a bit short and my torso a bit long, which means I needed a few tweaks to get my position just right. I am now testing those changes on the road and seeing how they translate on my endurance bike setup.
Beyond my own fit, I wanted to pick Wei’s very experienced brain on how we can best advise Gloria riders when choosing the right size for their titanium bikes.
We talked about this a lot throughout the day, and as it turns out, there is not a single magic answer. But there are a couple of simple steps that, when combined, can help us get very close to your perfect position, whether you are riding an All Road, All World, or All Gravel titanium bike.
Before starting, place your bike on a level surface and take the following measurements.
Use the diagram below for reference
Once you have these measurements, share them with us. We will use them to recreate your position precisely in BikeCAD and compare it against our Gloria titanium frame geometry to help identify your best size.
If you want to go a step further and help us refine your fit even more, send us a few additional details:
If any of this feels tricky, just let us know. We will guide you through it or even help measure your bike directly.
During our chat, Wei made one thing clear:
“If you are in the market for a new bike, especially a titanium one, it is worth getting a proper fit before you buy.”
A great fitting titanium endurance bike is not just about comfort or performance; it is about ensuring your bike feels like an extension of you for years to come.
Whether you are considering a winter titanium bike to ride through all seasons, or our new titanium gravel bike built for adventure and long-distance comfort, a professional bike fit can make all the difference.
And if you are looking for expert guidance, Wei at Foundation Bike Fit is absolutely one of the best people to speak to.
That is quite common. We will look at your measurements, fit data, and riding goals to recommend the size that offers the best balance between comfort, control, and performance.
If you are unsure, email us your measurements and we can make a recommendation based on your current setup.
Start by taking the key measurements shown in the guide above, along with your height, inseam, and reach.
Once you have them, send your measurements to us and we will use BikeCAD to compare your current setup with our frame geometry and recommend the most suitable size.
We recommend Wei at Foundation Bike Fit, based inside Bespoke in London. His extensive knowledge and experience in precision bike fitting make him an excellent choice for riders looking to achieve an optimal position and long-term comfort.
BikeCAD is a professional tool we use to digitally recreate your bike setup. It lets us compare different Gloria frame geometries using your past bike measurements or data from any previous bike fits, helping us refine your position and make a more informed size recommendation.
Stay tuned for more exciting rides and adventures with Gloria Cycling.
